The most economical type of leather – usually a shiny dark brown or black in color. Made from cheaper cowhides, the skins have a polyurethane ( vinyl ) coating applied to the surface. These leathers will not fade as easy and will resist spillage. However they are more prone ripping in areas because cowhide does not have a great deal of elasticity.
